QUETTA - Reiterating its resolve to continue their fight against Nato aggression, the Difa-e-Pakistan Council leaders said the rulers are not real representatives of the people as they have pushed the country towards destruction.

“America and India have been plotting to break Pakistan, however, the DPC will thwart their conspiracies,” DPC leaders Maulana Samiul Haq, Maulana Asmatullah, Syed Munawar Hassan, Hafiz Saeed, Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Gen (r) Hamid Gul said while addressing a press conference Wednesday. They said the DPC would hold “Difa-e-Islam Conference” today (Thursday) to protect the geographical and ideological boundaries of Pakistan. “The country has been enslaved and we are ready to protect and defend the country,” they vowed.

They said that Balochistan had become the focus of external forces who were conspiring against the country. They said that America and India had made agreement to crumble Pakistan thus in order to materialize this dream they had started conspiracies to deteriorate law and order in Balochistan.

However, they said that with the power of people they would frustrate any conspiracy against the country. “The people have no trust in the federal and provincial governments while the judiciary has also not played its due role. Therefore America is threatening the country of Abbottabad-like operations,” they remarked. The DPC leaders said that they had started a campaign to unite nation against anti-Islamic forces, including America because religious, political and patriotic parties were the part of DPC.

They said they should shun their differences for the sake of protection of the country. “People in Karachi, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan were being pitted against each other while a handful of people were trying to separate Balochistan from the country. It should be cleared that Balochs, Pashtuns and other nationalists living in the country are not alone and entire country is with them”, they said, adding that they would unite people of Balochistan, youth and tribal elders and would address their grievances.

“We are ready to support all demands of Balochs except demand of independence,” they added.

The DPC leaders said that tabling resolution regarding Nato supplies in the parliament was an effort to make the nation slave.

“The decision regarding restoration of Nato supplies should be made through a referendum. Because in the guise of Nato supplies we have committed a big sin of murdering Afghan Muslims,” they remarked.
