PESHAWAR - ANP Senior Vice President Senator Haji Adeel has said that the present government was spending a huge amount to protect the lives and properties of the dwellers of lower areas from the floods as well as various developmental schemes in a bid to ameliorate the lot of common people.

He was addressing on the eve of inauguration of a scheme of protection wall on nullah Budni in Khushal Bagh Colony on Warsak Road on Wednesday. On this occasion, MPA Atif ur Rahman and Secretary Information ANP Malak Mustafa besides a large number of people were also present. It may be added that the scheme has been completed with an estimated cost of Rs 7 million funded by Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel. All the units of the federation have been given appropriate share after 18th constitutional amendment as a result of which sense of deprivation of the small provinces has been do-away with, he added.

Later, the Senator inaugurated the scheme by unveiling the plaque.
