LOWER DIR - The health and Education Departments suspended several government employees while suspended others on the directives of District Coordination Officer Dir Lower Mahmood Aslam Wazir for negligence in the ongoing-three day national immunization drive against polio.

Sources said that lady health workers of the DHQ Hospital Timergara including Nazia Hussain, Khatoon Bibi, Farzana Bibi and sweeper Sajid Khan were issued suspension notices for not taking part in the anti-polio campaign.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the Education Department also suspended a primary school teacher Fazal Muhammad and watchman of the government primary school Lalako Maidan Gul Karim and ordered an enquiry against them for negligence during the polio eradication campaign.

A review meeting regarding the anti-polio campaign was also held at the DCO office with Mahmood Aslam Wazir in the chair.

Addressing the meeting, the DCO said that no stone would be left unturned to reach every child in Dir Lower.
