QUETTA - Two bullet-riddled bodies were recovered dumped in a desolated area in Musakhel district on Wednesday morning, while three volunteers of a polio team were kidnapped in Naseerabad.

According to District Police Officer Muhammad Yousuf Bhanger, area people spotted the bodies in Kajori area and informed police station. Upon which the police rushed to the spot and moved the bodies to Civil Hospital Musakhel for autopsy.

The bodies were identified as Nabi Baksh and Nadeem Ahmed. “Both victims belonged to Marri tribe and their identity was confirmed through chits recovered from their pockets,” Bhanger said.

Sources in hospital said the bodies of both victims were having multiple bullet wounds and signs of torture.

The bodies were later shifted to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital Quetta.

In another incident, unknown armed men kidnapped three volunteers of a polio team from Rabi Canal area of Naseerabad. Kidnapped persons were identified as Talib Allam, Nadir Mastoi and Saleem were on their way when they were kidnapped by armed men.

Police have registered a case and started a search operation in the area to recover the kidnapees.

Meanwhile, a man shot dead his wife in the name of honour in Jaffarabad district.

According to police, an accused namely Dhidar Ali shot dead his wife in Gott Nuroz Khan Jamali within the limits of cattle form police station after suspecting her of having illicit relations with someone. The accused fled from the scene after committing the crime.

Police have registered a case and started further investigation into the killing.
