DCO Nadeem Sarwer has said that provision of gunny bags to the farmers at wheat procurement centres will start soon, saying that all-out arrangements had been made at all wheat procurement centres across the district.

He expressed the views while talking to the media during his visit along with AC Rani Hifsa Kanwal to procurements centres here the other day.

On the occasion, Rani Hifsa advised the farmers to sell their wheat at government procurement centres so that they could get due return of their produce.

She said that the Punjab Chief Minister was personally monitoring wheat procurement drive and all procurement centres had been interlinked through a computerisation system.

She said that small farmers would be benefited and the government would ensure transparency in this regard. She added that the government would purchase four million metric tonnes of wheat for which Rs130 billion had been allocated.

She said the target of wheat procurement had been fixed in Sambrial.

HAJI ARSHED LAID TO REST: Haji Arshad Pervez Ghumman, cousin of PML-N Europe (France) Cheif Organizer Ch Shamrooz Elahi Ghumman  passed away here the other day.

His funeral was offered at native village Jehtiky. A large number people including members of provincial and national assemblies and other notables of the regain attend the funeral and condoled with the family.
