Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that relations between Pakistan and  Russia in defence and economic sectors are improving gradually, reported Radio Pakistan.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that besides other sectors, Russia is also showing keen interest in energy projects. 

The Foreign Minister said promoting ties with Russia, China and Turkey are in the best interest of Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif said discussions are also underway with Russia regarding cooperation in war against terrorism.

To a question, he said enhancing relations with Russia is an important part of our foreign policy.
