Rawalpindi - A man is reported to have raped and assaulted his two school-going nieces after showing them videos in his cell phone of children being slaughtered in a bid to persuade them to not reveal his wrongdoings to their parents, informed sources on Tuesday. The victims’ mother, a famous Pashto singer, registered a case with police that Iftikhar Ali, her biological brother, repeatedly raped her two daughters aged 7 and 10, they said.

Police have rounded up the rapist who hails from Swat and is presently residing in Pakatot, Peshawar and began interrogation.  According to sources, Nazia Iqbal, a Swat based Pashto singer, appeared before Police Station (PS) Rawat and lodged a complaint.

The applicant mentioned that she was preparing breakfast for family in kitchen when she heard the sounds of her seven year old daughter SJ from the next room. When she rushed to the room, she saw her brother raping the girl. Nazia Iqbal, a resident of a private housing society, stated that she contracted marriage with a man named Javed Khan some 13 years ago and gave birth to six children including two daughters (SJ) and (MJ). She informed police that her daughters, studying in class two and five, would often complain that their uncle assaulted them sexually. However, Nazia said she never trusted her daughters.

She added that Iftikhar managed to flee the house when he was caught.

The second daughter MJ also revealed that her uncle had raped her on Friday last and confessed that he used to show the girls videos on his mobile phone of small children being slaughtered and threatened them not to open their mouth before parents or else they would meet the same fate. 

Police lodged case under sections 376 and 506 of PPC and arrested the rapist during a raid.
