Six arrested for violating smart lockdown rules in Multan

MULTAN - District administration teams launched crackdown and caught six people over violation of smart lockdown during last 48 hours.
In line with special directions of Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad, the crackdown against Corona SOPs violators was continued across the district and sealed 13 various trade centres. Similarly, 15 passenger buses were challaned while Rs1,55,000 fine was also imposed over violation.
Ceremony held to mark World Veterinary Day
Livestock department organised a ceremony to mark World Veterinary Day here on Sunday at Deputy Director Livestock Jalalpur Pir Wala office. Director Livestock Multan Division Dr Subtain Bhatti was chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Subtain Bhatti said that the the day was celebrated every year on the appeal of World Veterinary Association. The World Veterinary Day was celebrated on last Saturday of April every year all over the globe. The purpose of celebrating this day was to highlight the importance of veterinary profession and uplift the profession by working on one health concept for improvement of the animal and human welfare.
Each year a theme was set to celebrate World Veterinary day, and the theme for this year’s celebrations was “Veterinarian response to the Covid-19 crises.”
Veterinarian of Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab are front line workers during this covid-19 pandemic. Veterinarian are engaged in raising awareness to cattle breeders and saving the lives of their cattle through different veterinary practices with dedication.
Later, an awareness walk was also conducted by observing Corona SOPs.
Police fail to arrest gang-rape accused
Police failed to arrest criminals involved in woman’s gang rape and shooting her video while robbing in a house despite passing three days of occurrence of the tragic incident, victim’s family told APP on Sunday.
Station House Officer(SHO) Karam Dad Police Station Muhammed Kumail Raza, said that medical examination of the affected lady, Sonia Bibi, was completed and three suspected persons were arrested while search of the rest were continued.

It’s pertinent to note that the incident was reported on April 20 in limits of Karam Dad Qureshi police station. The five robbers broke into a house, looted cash and jewelery and later, they molested the woman, with one of the offenders filmed the scene to blackmail them.
