8 die in various incidents in Balochistan

QUETTA - At least eight people were killed and twenty-six others including three journalists and three children sustained injuries in three different incidents of rocket and grenade attacks. According to reports, unknown armed persons fired round about thirty rockets from nearby mountains on Machh area of district Bolan. The rockets landed at Jail colony close to residence of warden. The rockets went off with huge explosion that resulted into deaths of seven persons including three children and injuring of seven others. After attack, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started search operation in mountains for tracking down the miscreants. Reports coming from Turbat said that one person was killed and fifteen others received injuries including three journalists, when personnel of Frontier Corps allegedly opened fire at the rally of Baloch National Front. The rally was in connection with second death anniversary of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and others of today who were killed in a military operation in Tratani mountainous area of Kholu area. Meanwhile, unknown armed persons hurled a hand grenade at city police station that resulted in injuries of four people. However, police have arrested two suspects of grenade attack.
