KARACHI - Country's political situation is changing fast as one of the leading coalition partner, the PML (N) has parted its ways with the PPP government. Commenting on the situation, the PML (N) vice president Imadad Chandio on Monday, when contacted said that his party was compelled to take this decision when there was no other option left with them. He said the decision was made to restore the confidence of masses that the commitment, principles and promises in the politics still counted and genuine leaders would take bold step and could say goodbye to government. Imdad Chandio said that PML (N) proved that it was not doing politics for personal gains and preferring the commitment, which they had vowed to uphold during the election campaigns. He said PML (N) candidate for Presidential election, former chief justice of Pakistan Saeed uz-Zaman Siddiqui was the ideal candidate in the present situation and it manifested as to how much his party believed in the independence of the institutions. The spokesman of PML (N) Siddique Al-Farooq, when connected said that they were forced to opt this decision as PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari had categorically said that he did not accept any agreement on the restoration of judiciary. He further said that Asif Ali Zardari had lost his credibility in the politics after denying fulfilling the promises and commitment made to the people. He observed that in the days to come Zardari will know the importance of commitment, agreement and how much promises made to the masses counted in the politics. "The coalition had reached the point of no return when he openly refused to fulfil the agreement and did not leave any room for PML (N) to be a part of the coalition," Farooq maintained.
