'No objection to any PMship aspirant'

LARKANA - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani on Thursday said that Pakistan is a highly respected and responsible State and will never allow its territory to be used for subversive activities in any other country. This he said while talking to the newsmen in front of Benazir Bhutto's Mazar at Garhi Khuda Bux. The Prime Minister urged the world community to convince India for peaceful solution to the problem and not to pressurise Pakistan, because Pakistan is also facing terrorism, as Shaheed Benazir Bhutto also fell victim to terrorism. He said if war is imposed on us than we are fully prepared to respond but we do not want war. Gilani said Pakistan is a capable to defend country and we are determined to safeguard our nuclear assets. He said that October 18 Karachi incident was bigger than Mumbai incident. He said that Pakistan is ready for talks with India as we are a democratic govt and the matter can be resolved through talks. He said we we have approached UN for fair, free probe of Benazir Bhutto's assassination if govt had done such a probe we may have been accused of bias by the Opposition. He said that the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was to reconcile among the different political groups that is why that strategy is being applied by President Asif Ali Zardari. He said that undemocratic groups are trying to destabilise the democratic govt but they will not succeed in their vested interests. He said the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto will continue for the prosperity of common man. He said that the differences emerging in Punjab is routine in democractic set up. He said he does not know about any other candidate aspiring to be the Prime Minister but he does not have any objection if there is somebody. Earlier the Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani visited Garhi Khuda Bux and visited the Mazar of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Prime Minister laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. On the occasion Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Federal Ministers Dr. Babar Awan, Speaker Sindh Assembly and Acting Governor, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz, PPP MNAs and MPAs were present. The Prime Minister also visited the Mazar of the founder of PPP and former Prime Minister, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto. He laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha. On arrival at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh helipad, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was received by Acting Governor Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, provincial ministers and PPP leaders. Earlier, when the Prime Minister landed at Sukkur Airport, he was received by Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and provincial ministers.
