HAFIZABAD - PML-Q MNA Liaqat Abbas Bhatti was booked for allegedly keeping a 13-year-old girl in his illegal confinement.
According to an FIR, Nusrat (13) had been working as maid in the house of the MNA for the past three years. Then she disappeared mysteriously. Her father, Shaukat Ali, submitted a petition in the Lahore High Court for the recovery of his daughter from the illegal confinement.
On the orders of Justice Shahid Hameed Dar, the girl was recovered and the city police registered a case against the MNA.
60-BED HOSPITAL ON CARDS: A 60-bed hospital would be constructed in Hafizabad at a cost of Rs 50 million in collaboration with different NGOs of Belgium and local donations, Stanislas Welfare Organisation Hafizabad Chairman Engineer Ashiq Pervaiz said. He said that he recently called on Belgium Ambassador in Pakistan Mr Hans Christian Kint in Islamabad and assured him that he would explore the possibilities to provide funds for the proposed hospital by associating different NGOs of Belgium. He said that the contraction of the hospital would be started soon after getting the funds from the Belgium NGOs.
