Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief (MQM) Altaf Hussain on Monday said that it would have been better had the chief of Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan had presented his party’s manifesto in the rally rather than indulging himself in the politics of blame game terming other parties as corrupt.
In a press release issued by the MQM, Altaf congratulated PTI’s leader Imran Khan and his party members on carrying out a successful rally in Karachi.
Hussain said that such a move was required in order to channelise positivity in the current political situation.
Khan held a rally in Karachi on Sunday at the Quaid’s Mausoleum in which people from all walk of lives participated and received Imran Khan with warm welcome.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that PTI Sindh claimed that up to 450,000 people had attended, “given that the ground had a capacity of 250,000 and that the surrounding roads and the Mazar-e-Quaid ground itself were packed.” A senior police officer deputed at the rally said his personal estimate was 300,000 including the people on the roads and in the mausoleum.
