RAJANPUR - Under the guidance of Managing Director Mr Majid Nizami, the Nawa-i-Waqt Group of Newspapers is defending the cause of Islam and Ideology of Pakistan through responsible reporting as he has advised the newsmen to report correctly and highlight issues of oppressed people of the society, speakers at a gathering said.

Reporters and members of civil society including Nawa-i-Waqt Multan Resident Editor Shamim Asghar Rao, Business Manager Rashid Ahmad Dogar, TheNation Multan Bureau Chief Malik Irteza Ahmed, Rajanpur Press Club President Syed Ashiq Hussain addressed the meeting. They told the participants that the role of the Nawa-i-Waqt Group was like a missionary in character building of the new generation and defending Ideology of Pakistan.

On the occasion, Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association Chairman Amanullah Qureshi, Commerce College Principal Prof Nazir Ahmad Sikhani, General Secretary Wali Muhammad Sajid of PML-N, Nazria-e-Pakistan Forum General Secretary Kanwar Kamal Akhtar Advocate, PMA Rajanpur President Dr Shama Noor, TMO Syed Qazi Masoodur Rauf Rizvi, Muhammad Nadeen Qureshi, Rana Haroon and Kanwar Khurshid praised the Group.

Earlier, Shamim Asghar Rao visited Khanpur, Nawan Kot, Bagh Bahar, Channi Goth, Zahir Pir, Samaija and other rural areas where he advised reporters to report correctly and justly.

EXAMINATIONS: In the district, the examination of 5th and 8th class will be conducted from February 1,2012 to 11, 2012.

The district executive officer (education) said that about 26,000 students from public and private sector schools will appear in the examinations. About 100 examination centres have been set up where administrative staff is being placed.

Roll No slips to all the students have been dispatched. All the work is being carried out under the instructions and supervision of EDO (Education).
