SIALKOT / TOBA TEK SINGH -  People celebrated 135th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation and founder of Pakistan, with traditional zeal, enthusiasm and fervour, amid tight security in district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils, peacefully.

Several meetings were held by the religious, political parties and NGOs to mark the importance of the Day and to pay rich tributes and homage to Quaid-e-Azam. The speakers urged the nation to get unite and reclaim the values which Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah bequeathed to the nation as his heritage. “They wished to felicitate the nation on Quaid’s birth anniversary and urged the people to forge unity in their ranks to preserve and protect their democratic and political rights and thereby make Pakistan a shining example of prosperity and progress,”

They said the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is a day of rededication to the ideals and principles of the Father of the Nation. “It is a day of introspection and reflection to pause and ponder as to what steps we can take to protect the ideals and principles for which the Quaid created this homeland,” they said. They narrated that Quaid created Pakistan for the welfare of the masses, adding “We cannot allow the country and the people remain caught in the vicious cycle of poverty, unemployment, and despondency.”

TOBA TEK SINGH: Local PML-N leaders and workers celebrated the birth anniversaries of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and party chief Mian Nawaz Sharif jointly here on Sunday. Scores of party activists attended the gathering outside party office where a cake was cut by party leaders. While addressing the participants, MNA Junaid Anwar, MPA Ayub Gadhi and district party chief Amjad Javed claimed that the PML-N was the only party which was running on the path introduced by Quaid-e-Azam.
