LAHORE - Former foreign minister Sardar Assef Ahmad Ali has confirmed Imran Khan’s claim that he has decided to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to Waqt News channel on Sunday night, Sardar Assef said he joined PTI on Imran Khan’s invitation.
Sardar Assef said Imran has the potential to take Pakistan out of the prevailing mess.
He said the PPP leadership has failed miserably in resolving the masses issue. “I tried to point out problems faced by the masses to the PPP leadership, but nobody listened.”
When his attention was drawn towards his rivalry with Mehmood Kasuri, Assef said if Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Makhdoom Javed Hashmi can give up their 40-year enmity over a joint cause of saving Pakistan, so can he and Kasuri. “Party will decide who gets the ticket and both of us will abide by it.
