Seven major generals reshuffled

ISLAMABAD - In a major reshuffle, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has transferred seven major generals including DG Infantry while one brigadier has been promoted to the rank of major general.
According to sources, the decision was taken at a high level meeting in which Major General Sher Afgan has been transferred and posted as Inspector General Frontier Constabulary Balochistan while Major General Nasrullah Tahir has been appointed as Director General Infantry.
Major General Umer Farooq Barki has been appointed as voice military secretary in MS branch of GHQ while Major General Syed Najmul Hasan Shah has been transferred and posted as Chief Instructor A Division in NDU, earlier he was serv ing as DG Infantry. Major General Musarrat Nawaz Malik has been appointed as DG operations and plans JS Headquarters. Major General Ijaz Shahid has been transferred and appointed as DG Foreign Military Co-Operation, earlier he was serving as IG FC Baloochistan.
Major General Mushtaq Ahmad Faisal has been transferred and posted as DG NLC. He was serving as DG logistics.
Army chief Raheel Sharif has also promoted Brigadier Abdullah Doger as major general and posted him immediately as GOC, 6th Armed Division.
