‘Quaid’s vision only way to development’

Rawalpindi - Chairman Pakistan Green Task Force and social worker Dr Jamal Nasir said on Monday that following the vision and teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the only way to Pakistan’s development and prosperity.

He said that we should educate the younger generation for playing active role in making Pakistan a great country. “The teachers and the parents should realise their responsibilities and provide quality education to youth as youth can change the fate of the nation,” he said.

Dr Jamal Nasir expressed these views while addressing a quilt distribution ceremony held here on Monday. The ceremony was organised by Jinnah-Iqbal South Asian Plus Forum in connection with the birthday celebrations of the Quaid and Christmas.

Pakistan Dental Council President Ghulam Akbar Niazi was chief guest while President JISAPF Rana Abdul Baqi, former federal secretary Muzaffar Mehmood Qureshi, Commodore (r) Shahid Nawaz, Secretary Thinkers Forum Col (r) Mukhtar Hakeem and others attended the ceremony. As many as 400 widows and other needy people were given free quilts.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Jamal Nasir and other speakers said that one should help the poor and the destitute in the society.

They said that the mission of the JISAPF was to serve the poor and needy people.

Meanwhile, in connection with the birth anniversary celebrations of the Quaid, the Rawalpindi Arts Council arranged a stage play ‘Quaid-e-Azam, Mera Khawab’. The aim to conduct the play was to pay tributes to the father of the Nation. The play was written and directed by Riaz Saddique while acted by Naeem Khan, Saeed Anwar, Shagufta Qureshi, Ali Shan, Noor Ali, Amir Ch, and Shahzad Mughal.

The theme of the play was younger generation who was not following footsteps of the great Quaid. Member Punjab Assembly Tehseen Fawad was chief guest accompanied by Naheed Manzoor and Director RAC Waqar Ahmed.

Addressing on the occasion, MPA Tehseen Fawad said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was great leader and his political vision was based for creation of the motherland. Naheed Manzoor said that Quaid-e-Azam knew that separation was sole source to protect the rights of Muslims of the sub-continent. Director RAC Waqar Ahmed said that purpose of organising the event was to pay tribute to the great leader.
