LAHORE - Aqeel Khan will take on emerging player Muhammad Shoaib in the Serena Hotels National Ranking Tennis men’s singles final. In the men’s singles semifinals, Muhammad Shoaib beat Muzammil Murtaza 6-3, 6-3 and Aqeel Khan beat Muhammad Abid 7-6(5), 6-2 to make way to the finals. In the boy’s U-18 singles semifinals, Hasheesh Kumar beat Hamid Israr 6-3, 6-1 and Abdullah Adnan beat Mahatir Muhammad 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 to enter the finals. In the men’s doubles semifinals, Aisam/Aqeel beat Ahmed/Waqas 7-6(3), 6-1 and Muzammil/Abid beat Yousaf/Heera 3-6, 6-4(10-6).
