Exhibition hockey match held to mark Quaid Day

LAHORE - An exhibition hockey match was played under the auspices of Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy on the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam. At the National Hockey Stadium, national team head coach Khawaja Junaid, former captain M Wasim, M Saqlain, Tahir Iqrar Shah from the Netherlands and children of the academy cut the Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday cake. Kh Junaid said: “This is a day of renewed commitment, which sends a message to us that we all have to play our part in protecting this country Pakistan that was built with the sacrifice of millions of lives and making it the greatest country in the world. Quaid-e-Azam wants to see this green crescent flag distinguished and famous. We all have to fulfill our responsibilities in good faith and honestly and spread this message of Quaid.” It was also promised to play active role in the development and promotion of hockey.
