RAWALPINDI (APP) The District Administration has finalised all the arrangements to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in a befitting manner and religious fervour. All the routes of the processions of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) will be cleaned while no person will be allowed to stand on rooftops of the buildings along the routes. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting presided over by DCO, Rawalpindi, Imdadullah Bosal to review arrangements being made in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). City Police Officer, Rao Muhammad Iqbal Khan, SP Rawal Town, Raja Zarat Kiani, DSP Special Branch, Madom Shamshad, EDO Municipal Services, Imtiaz Ahmad Malik, DHO, Khalid Rnadhawa, all the DDOs, TMOs, officials of WASA, Wapda, Telephone Department, District Officer Rescue 1122 also attended the meeting. Imdadullah Bosal said that the owners of the plazas will be asked to submit certificates ensuring that they would not allow any person to stand on the roof tops and they would be held responsible in case of any untoward incident. The drum beating and music playing would also be banned and all the instructions would be got implemented in letter and spirit so that the Eid Milad Un Nabi processions reach the destination in a peaceful manner. The DCO also directed the Tehsil Administration Officers (TMOs) to remove posters of films and dramas installed on the routes of processions in view of the sanctity of the day. He said that all the participants of the processions would pass through walkthrough gates. The water tankers of WASA and ambulances of Health Department equipped with necessary medicines, doctors and paramedical staff, police officials, volunteers of civil defence would accompany the processions, he added. Bosal said close circuit television cameras would also be installed on the routes while all type of traffic would be closed on the routes of central procession. All the streets would be checked with barriers to prevent motorcyclists from entering in to procession. Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO), Rao Muhammad Iqbal has warned all the police officials to be deployed for duties for security of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) processions to perform their duties with dedication and commitment failing which they would face strict disciplinary action.
