SC forwards Khosa corruption complaint to PBC

The Supreme Court forwarded a complaint of bribe-taking against former Attorney-General Latif Khosa to the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on Friday, a private TV reported. A former official of the National Highway Authority had filed a complaint alleging that Latif Khosa had received three million rupees from him for securing a court decision in his favour but that did not happen. Latif Khosa's attorney argued before the Supreme Court that the PBC was the appropriate forum to hear such complaints against lawyers. The three-member judges bench therefore announced its judgement today and referred the complaint to the PBC. The bench also directed the PBC to decide the case within 30 days.
