LAHORE - A field of 106 golf playing amateurs will tee off at the challenging 18-hole par-72 Royal Palm Golf Course in search for the prestigious Meezan Bank Golf Trophy on Saturday (today) at 11 am through a shot gun start. The participating competitors include over 20 single handicappers, most of them capable of hitting the ball with fearsome rhythmic power and possessing the ability to produce a feast of golf backed by the forte of good temperament which enables them to match each other stroke for stroke and not give up their quest for honours right till the last stroke. Some of the competitors who fall in this grouping are Sardar Murad, Amir Mehmood, Faisal Malik, Shoaib Shams, Tariq Misbah, Mahd Zafar, Hussain Hamid and Asad IA Khan. Amongst the double-digit handicappers, out of around 86 participants, the field can be narrowed down to ten as they are the ones with more experience and follow the practice of sacrificing length for accuracy and helps them to produce decent scores. The list includes Abdullah Sharif, Taha Mehmood, Haroon Arshed, Tariq Mushtaq, Asad Agha, Dr Mohsin, Ch Tassaduq and Rizwan Atta of Meezan Bank.
