LAHORE Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed of the Lahore High Court Friday sought reply from the Punjab Government by March 15 as to the approval/affiliation of four medical colleges in the province which a petitioner claims, has not been sought from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). The petitioner Noshab A Khan claims that the four medical colleges have been established in Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sahiwal and Dera Ghazi Khan where admission for each 100 seats, have been completed however no formal approval from their recognition has been sought from the Council. He contended that given the situation these colleges would not be authorised to issue degrees. The petitioner further says these college are not equipped with proper infrastructure and facilities which are necessary for a medical college as such they are facing deficiency on this score too.
