LAHORE At least three people have been murdered in as many incidents here in different parts of the City, police said late Friday night. Police said that 40-year-old Majeed Ahmed was stabbed to death by his friend Muhammad Nasir over monetary dispute in Tibbi City police area. Investigators said that the killer forced the deceased to repay Rs 1000 to him but he was unable to do so. Both the friends exchanged harsh words over the issue. Nasir got infuriated and stabbed Majeed to death inside his residential quarter located in Makhanpura. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating. In another incident, a 20-year-old youth Kashif was gunned down in Gujjarpura area over old enmity. Police said that Shauki group opened fire on Sabi group, which led to the murder of Kashif. Both the groups had old enmity and more than 10 people from both the sides have been murdered so far. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating. In the third incident, another 20-year-old man, unidentified so far, was shot dead by unidentified killers in Shadbagh police area late Friday night. The police investigators were on the crime scene till filing of this report. Further investigations were underway.
