LAHORE – Shahbaz Sharif has set up a committee to review the affairs of Sheikh Zayed Hospital, whose administrative control has recently been handed over to the Punjab Government under 18th Constitutional amendment.
The CM passed an order to this effect while presiding over a meeting held to review medical facilities, academic activities, financial and administrative affairs and other matters relating to the Hospital here Saturday. The head of Sheikh Zayed Hospital Dr. Zafar Iqbal gave a detailed briefing regarding the hospital. The CM while setting up a committee headed by Senator Ishaq Dar directed the committee to submit its recommendations after reviewing the hospital affairs.
Addressing the meeting and talking to media-men the CM said that Punjab government has taken solid steps for the provision of modern health facilities to the masses and medicines worth billion of rupees are being given free of cost to the patients in all hospitals of the province.
