TOBA TEK SINGH - Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Naib Ameer Zafar Jamal Baloch has said that both the government and the opposition were corrupt, adding that the JI after coming to power would send corrupt persons to the gallows.

He regretted the electricity crisis in the country. Addressing the JI activists in Jamia Masjid Burhan in Garden Town, he said his party chief was residing in just 100 yard house while the present rulers had big bungalows.

He hoped the people would not vote for the ruling parties in the upcoming general elections.

He said that after coming to power, the JI would provide diesel on half price to farmers and education will be free. Professor Ashraf Shakir, Majeed Salik, Sanaullah Mufti, Dr Saleem Zafar and Mian Wakeel Ahmad also addressed the gathering.

Dacoits ‘sweep’ house: Four Dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments, a cellphone and other valuables from a house in a nearby village here the other night.

According to the Rajana Police, four dacoits entered the house of Rana Abdul Razzaq a resident of Chak 286/GB Seth Wala near Rajana after scaling wall.

They snatched cash, gold ornaments, a cellphone and other valuables worth Rs863,000 from him.

The Rajana Police have registered a case against culprits.

Dacoits shot at farmer:  A farmer was shot at by dacoits in Chak 390/JB for offering resistance.

Three dacoits barged into the orchard of Mureed Hussain to rob the owner of his kinnows but he offered resistance whereupon, they opened fire on him. Resultantly, he got injured and was moved to the DHQ Hospital.

Robbery: Four armed men looted cash and mobile phones in village Uthwal. The camp of Azmar Khan of Sheri Durrah in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwah was attacked by the robbers.

The robbers held Mohammad Khan and other labourers at gunpoint and fled away with Rs80,000 and 4 mobiles.
