DCO gets corrupt former DO booked



NAROWAL - On the complaints of the district coordination officer of Narowal, the Anti-Corruption Establishment has registered two cases against the former district officer (buildings) of Narowal for abusing his authority and plundering money.
DCO Ahmed Ali Kamboh had filed two complaints regarding corruption and abuse of authority by former DO Nadeeemud Din to the ACE authorities for registration of criminal cases after preliminary inquiries against the accused.
The inquiry officer had found Rs.570,000 misappropriation in the month of July 2010 and misappropriation of Rs.370,000 in the month of August 2010 in the other inquiry in the government funds. The Police Circle Officer Sajid Wirk registered separate criminal cases against the accused under Section 420, 468, 471, 409 of the PPC and Section 5 of Prevention of Corruption Act.
It is pertinent to mention here that another criminal case has already been registered against him on the complaint of contractor Sharafat Ali. When contacted, Mr Nadeemud Din could not be available on his cell phone.  
Workers PROTEST: The contractual employees of the National Database Registration Authority from Sialkot, Gohadpur, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur, Chawinda and Badiana staged a protest sit-in and held a demonstration for their regularisation.
Wearing black ribbons on their arms and carrying banners and placards, the protesters chanted anti-government slogans and demanded their immediate.
Later, talking to the newsmen outside the Sialkot Press Club, they said protesting Nadra officials would call on Federal Minister for Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan at her residence on Sunday (today) to discuss the matter.
