ISLAMABAD - The Interior Ministry Saturday issued directives to the FIA to contact the Interpol for issuing red warrants for former President Pervez Musharraf in Benazir Bhutto murder case, sources said.

According to the sources, the ministry has written to FIA director general to reach the Interpol for issuing red warrants for Musharraf.

The DG has been directed to complete all legal formalities regarding ensuring issuance of red warrants for Pervez Musharraf within three days, the sources said, adding that Malik had also specifically stressed the officials to update him (Rehman Malik) about the issue daily. Former President Musharraf has been declared a proclaimed offender, and the government has been directed to take adequate steps to ensure Musharraf’s return for his trail in Benazir murder case.
