LAHORE – PTI Punjab has alleged that crime rate in the province has increased by 20 percent, holding the provincial government for the deteriorating law and order situation.
PTI Punjab president Ahsan Rasheed made these claims while addressing a press conference at the party’s provincial office on Saturday.
He claimed that out of the 175 thousand strong force half has been deployed on protocol duties, besides a large number of police officials being posted at the CM’s Raiwand residence. He said that the arrangement has virtually left the citizens at the mercy of criminals. Commenting on the issue of PIC medicine scam, he alleged that Punjab government has destroyed the health provision system of the province and was giving contracts on bribes.
Speaking on dengue, he remarked that meaningless seminars were being conducted instead of taking measures to control the killer mosquito. He alleged that Punjab government was running on overdraft and provincial liabilities had increased manifolds.
Referring to social welfare schemes like Ashiana, Yellow cab, Danish Schools and Laptops, he claimed that it was just an eyewash, intended to reward workers of the ruling party.
