ISLAMABAD – A high-powered delegation of Turkish steel exporters will visit Pakistan in early March to hold meetings with government officials and with private sector commercial importers and industrial users of steel. The delegation representing 12 steel manufacturers and exporters led by Namik Ekinci, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Turkey Steel Exporters’ Association, says a press release.

According to the programme, the delegation will arrive in Islamabad on March 7 and visit Karachi on March 08 and 09. The Turkish companies represented are offering a wide range of flat and long steel products to Pakistani buyers, including HR/CR coils, diamond and tear-drop pattern plates, wire rods, billets, beams, bars, hollow sections, tubes, pipes and other steel products.

“Turkey and Pakistan have enjoyed extremely close relations at the political and cultural level for decades, but for some reason the bilateral trade between the two countries is quite modest,” remarked Namik Ekinci, the Chairman of the Turkish Steel Exporters Association.
