In the recent past, terrorists have killed more than 200 Hazara community members in two different incidents and injured 1500 other innocent people, leading to unprecedented protests, with the families of victims holding back the burial of their near and dear ones. Even the Governor’s Rule has failed to come up to the expectation that those claiming responsibility of this crime against humanity would be deal with drastically. It was the provincial administration’s failure that led to the demand for the handover of Quetta to the army. The relatives of victims have lost their trust in the police and FC which they regard as highly politicized and corrupt. The authorities must beware of the worsening situation and make daring moves to root out elements playing with human lives and disturbing the peace of the province.
