LAHORE – Central Committee of Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians met here on Wednesday to review arrangements of the three-day conference to be held on the subject of family medicines at a local hotel from 27 to 29 January.
Presided over Dr Aftab Iqbal Sheikh the meeting was participated by Dr Muzharul Islam, Dr Altaf Cheema, Dr Nadeem Khawaja, Dr Arshad Humayun, Dr Ausaf Baloch, Dr Manzoor Rana, Dr Matiul Haq, Dr Akbar Mughal, Dr Khawaja Shahid, Dr Ataur Rehman, Dr Masood Akhtar Mian, Dr Muhammad Amjad Ch, Dr Manzoor Janjua, Dr Shaharyar Bhatti, and Dr Abdul Rauf.
The meeting decided to read the papers on diabetics, blood pressure, hepatitis, obesity, tuberculosis (TB), asthma, mental diseases, dengue, child diseases and women health. The conference will also have an international workshop on dengue on January 28.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan and central leader of his party, Javed Hashmi, will open second day of the conference at 2pm on January 28 while the eminent national and international physicians will also speak.
