LAHORE - Public relation experts through an effective strategy pave the way for solution of children’s problems.
These views were expressed by speakers at an awareness session arranged by Children Complaint Office on Wednesday.
Addressing the session on the topic “Raise your voice for the welfare of children”, Secretary Information Punjab Mohyuddin Wani said an excellent platform had been provided for the protection of children’s rights in the form of Children Complaint Office at Punjab Ombudsman Office and public relations officers should play an active role from this platform for the welfare of children. He said for the solution of children’s problems, it was necessary that the problems of their mothers should also be resolved and day care centres should be set up for working women in every department and legislation should be undertaken for this purpose.
Wani said Children Complaint Office should utilise media for promoting awareness among the students in this regard. He said collaboration of government and semi-government departments for the welfare of children can help achieve the desired results and Children Complaint Office taken a commendable step in this regard. He directed that Provincial Information Department and Directorate General Public Relations should extend full cooperation to Children Complaint Office.
