Fraudsters extorted Rs1.5 million from two men of Arifwala at Gojra. According to Saddar police, a gang of fraudulent people called two brothers Qari Ashfaqur Rehman and Abdul Rehman of Arifwala to Gojra’s Korian village to sell them gold coins. Earlier, they got checked the three gold coins they got from the con men and a jeweller had found the coins of pure gold. Later, the victims paid Rs1.58 million to the fraudsters who gave them fake gold coins this time and disappeared. A number such cases have been reported at Gojra and Pirmahal.
Punjab PPP President Manzoor Watoo has appointed Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi as district secretary general of the party. He is brother-in-law of former Punjab minister for social welfare Begum Neelam Jabbar.
