BAHAWALPUR - Leader of movement for Restoration of Bahawalpur province Ms Saira Abbasi has strongly condemned the attitude of local public representatives regarding the restoration of Bahawalpur provincial status.

She warned that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be welcomed with black flags on next visit here to mark protest in favour of their demand. She also condemned the indifferent attitude of the ruling party over the Bahawalpur province which claimed to announce Bahawalpur province prior to general elections last year.

She maintained that the development and progress of the area was connected with the independent provincial status as all people of the area were united on the issue so it should be announced earlier to restore its original status for uplift and public welfare.
