JHANG - The Punjab government has released an amount of Rs78.686 millions for the up-gradation and repair to 42 schools here in the district. The fund will be spent on the up-gradation, repair and construction of new additional buildings in schools in various areas of the district.
This was told in a briefing given by EDO Building Division Jhang in a meeting of Agricultural Development Committee presided by DCO Raja Khuram Shehzad Umer here the other day. The EDO said that 12 government boys high schools of the district would be upgraded including six schools of Jhang Tehsil, three Shorkot Tehsil schools, two schools of Tehsil 18-Hazari and one school of Ahmedpur Sial Tehsil with the cost of Rs13.620 million.
Two middle schools one of Jhang Tehsil and one of Ahmedpur Sial Tehsil would be upgraded wit the cost of Rs13 million, he added.
Similarly, a grant of Rs13.356 million fixed for the construction new buildings of 12 primary schools across the district.
For the construction of 16 school of district which were severely effected in the flood 2013 an amount of Rs38.74 million has been fixed.
He told that to achieve the target all paper work had been finalised and tender would be demanded on the February 10 which would be opened in the presence of all government contractors.
