Six sentenced to death in triple murder case

BAHAWALNAGAR
The Chishtian Additional District and Sessions court handed down death sentence along with seven years imprisonment and Rs50,000 fine to six accused each in a triple murder case registered by Dahranwala Police. According to prosecution, Attaullah, Saleem, Shafi, Asif, Zaheer and Shoukat killed their relative women Sajida Bibi, a resident of Chak 114/M, her brother-in-law Mansha and father-in-law Zakariya over a land dispute on May 15, 2011. The Dahranwala Police had registered a triple murder case on the complaint of Aqeel, husband of Sajida bibi. Aqeel also got injured in the incident, however, he later survived. On completion of trial, the court pronounced its judgment and sentenced to death, seven year imprisonment and fined 50,000 all the accused. However, the court acquitted co-accused including Hanif, Azhar, Sakina, Abdul Ghaffar and Yousaf by giving them the benefit of the doubt.
