LAHORE - Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said a decision has been taken to amend the law to involve Muttahida Ulema Board of Punjab in preparing and changıng academic syllabus for child protectoin.

This he said while charing a meeting of Muttahida Ulema Board Thursday.

Punjab Muttahida Ulema Board Chairman Maulana Sahibzada Fazalur Raheem, members MUBP, ACS Home Azam Sauleman and senior officials attended the meeting. The minister made a request to the religious scholars for extening help to the govenrment for making positive changes in syllabus as per the religious requirements.

The government sprang into action after public rage over murder after rape of a little girl in Kasur a few weeks ago.

 State and governmental authorities at different levels took notice of the situation and pledged quick delivery of justice to the victims.

Politicians of all hue and colour also jumped in to condemn the brutality, while some of them even tried to cash in on the situation. The latest rape and murder of a child is the sixth such incident reported in the Kasur district during the last three months, police sources revealed. In 2017, police reported over one dozen such cases in the same district.
