CTD DIG Farooqi was appointed as a new investigation officer by IGP Sindh Allah Dino Khowaja while transferring from the District South Investigations SP Farooq Awan following the demand by the victim’s family.

Sources privy to the matter revealed that the decision about to form a JIT was taken after the Intizar murder case made controversial as well as family’s accusation on the former Anti-Car Lifting Cell chief SSP Muquddus Haider of his involvement in the murder.

The officer further said that SSP Haider would also be produced before a JIT to record his statement again as he has been included in the investigations while victim’s friends Madiha Kayani, Laila, Salman and Imran will also be a part of the JIT.

The JIT will also record the statements of the family again.
