ISLAMABAD  - Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will embark on an all-important visit to the United States on Saturday (today). During his three-day official visit, the PM will meet President George W Bush to discuss stepping up the efforts against militants launching attacks on NATO and US forces in Afghanistan, Pak-US relations, war on terror and other bilateral issues in length. Sources say that his visit comes amid mounting fears in Pakistan that the US was preparing to launch "military pursuit" raids into the troubled Pakistani tribal belts as attacks soar in Afghanistan. Sources further say that the main focus will be undoubtedly on the one-on-one meeting between Gilani and Bush. Sources add that Federal Information Minister Sherry Rehman and PM advisor on Interior Rehman Malik will accompany PM while Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who his on a visit to UK will join the Pakistani delegation in Washington.
