ISLAMABAD - Rejecting calls for flexibility, a high-level PML-N meeting Friday decided to leave contentious issue of reinstatement of the deposed judges to Nawaz-Zardari meeting expected early next month. According to the well-informed party sources, the meeting that was held in the Punjab House with party president and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the chair, did not show any flexibility on the issue that the PML-N was seeking to resolve in the light of Murree Declaration. Shahbaz Sharif, sources maintained, briefed the party's central leadership about the decisions taken in the meeting of coalition partners convened by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here a few days ago. Participants paid glowing tributes to the party chief Shahbaz Sharif for pleading the strong stance of the party in the meeting of component parties of ruling coalition. The meeting reviewed the overall political situation in the country and called for effective coordination amongst the coalition partners by taking them on board before taking any key decision on the national issues. The meeting reiterated that the PML-N wanted restoration of deposed judges and impeachment of President Musharraf ahead of tabling of any constitutional package in the parliament. The meeting was attended by the PML-N chairman Raja Zafar ul Haq, Javed Hashmi, Ahsan Iqbal, Pir Sabir Shah and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.
