PML-Q convenes party's media conference on Aug 1

ISLAMABAD - Secretary General PML-Q Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed has convened a media conference of all PML provincial information secretaries and media coordinators here at the PML House on August 1. Talking to media here, he said that this would be the first PML media conference after the elections and the purpose of the conference would be to 'review media work and prepare a comprehensive plan of action' for PML media strategy, in keeping the party's broader political strategy. He said that all the information secretaries of the PML from the four provinces as well as the media coordinators working in the key media centres, including the Sindhi media, would participate in the conference. Mushahid Hussain said, "PML-Q has also launched media briefings on both foreign policy the flawed trade policy of the government", he added. Briefing the media on the recent visits of Sindh and NWFP, the PML Secretary General said that the 'winds of change are blowing all across the country' and 'never before in the history of Pakistan has a government let down the electorate so soon after its formation.' He said the biggest challenge for the PML was to lift the country's morale from the general air of despondency and demoralization and "We will continue to serve as a constructive opposition presenting an alternative perspective on issues." President of PML-Q Chaudhry Shujat Hussain would preside over the media conference, while, Senator Mushahid Hussain will provide a work plan for the PML media.   The Information Secretary will present proposals for implementation of the work plan.
