Aitzaz was in favour of letter against Zardari

NEW YORK  - Senior PPP leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan on Wednesday disclosed that in the past, he was in favour of writing a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif ALI Zardari.
Talking to a private news channel in New York, Aitzaz said the matter pertaining to writing a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Zardari had become very complex for both the government and the apex court to set it aside.
He added that he was also in favour of writing the letter, but his thinking changed after looking into the complexity of the matter.
Aitzaz Ahsan predicted no signs for new general elections in the country in coming days, adding that the polls would be held in the country after the third prime minister. Criticising the US policies, the PPP leader said the outstanding matters between Pakistan and the US would be solved peacefully, if the US changed its policy towards Pakistan. “The United States is responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in Pakistan, as the White House first called some people its friend, but later designated them as them foes and put head bounty on them,” Aitzaz said.
The senior lawyer went on to say that the police failed to maintain law and order in Pakistan, as remains of British imperialism were present in the shape of bureaucracy.
