Cross-border attacks unacceptable: FO

Pakistan on Thursday condemned the attacks carried out from Afghanistan’s Kunar province into Pakistan. During weekly briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign Office spokesman Moazzam Khan said Pakistan is actively engaging the Afghan government as well as ISAF Command on this issue. He expected that some corrective measures would be taken by NATO, United States and Afghan government on this issue. The spokesperson said that MOU regarding new terms of engagement with the United States and ISAF will be signed soon. Answering a question about strategic dialogue between Pakistan and the United States‚ the spokesman said the schedule in this regard has not yet been finalized. When his attention was drawn towards the killings of Muslims in Myanmar‚ Moazzam Ahmad Khan expressed the confidence that Myanmar Government will take necessary and appropriate steps to address the matter. To a question about alleged UK passport scam‚ the Spokesman said this is not a bilateral issues between the two governments as it is a private matter.
