Educators go unpaid for 4 months

NANKANA SAHIB –Hundreds of newly appointed educators by the Punjab government have not been paid their salaries for the last four months because of delay in verification process of their degrees.
The educators have got frustrated for not being paid. Many educators are running their daily matters by borrowing money from others and after not getting salaries, are facing financial problems.
These educators said while talking to the media that the officers concerned were requested for their pending salaries but the officers told them until their degrees are scrutinised and verified from the universities concerned their salaries would not be disbursed.
However, the universities and other institutions have prolonged the procedures to verify degrees and it seems that the educators would not be able to get their salaries on Eid. These educators appealed to the Punjab chief minister and other authorities concerned resolve the issue.
MAN THROWS WIFE INTO RIVER: A man threw his wife into Ravi River after bringing her back from her brother’s house on the way back to his house over a family dispute.
Aamina, a sister of Khadam Hussain, a resident of village Kot Akber Pur Digran in the jurisdiction of Bhar Gher police, came to her brother’s house after family dispute with her husband Mulamzam Hussain.
But on the way to his home, he tried to kill her by throttling her but after her noise nearby people rushed to save her even then he threw her into the river.
