Officials’ absence irks people

DASKA – The visiting people have been suffering from great difficulties in getting their problems solved by the government departments due to the non-availability of the officials concerned in their offices in Daska tehsil.
According to the details, the officials of revenue department including the Tehsildars, revenue officers, Patwaries   and the officials of Daska TMA, veterinary and agricultural departments and markets committees have been deputed on special duties in Sasta Ramazan Bazaars in Daska tehsil by the district administration. However, no alternative arrangements were made at their respective offices to deal the public there.
The actual working of the said departments and the TMA was badly affected due to the non-availability of the concerned officials on their seats. The people have to make several visits to these departments for getting their genuine problems solved there. While, requesting anonymity, some TMA officials here disclosed that the concerned officials were taking advantage of the Hoy Month of Ramzan. Though, the concerned officials have been deputed in Sasta Ramzan Bazaars on special duties there but they often found absent from their duties in these bazaars.
The perturbed people and Dr. Muneer Butt (Chairman Citizens’ Rights Protection Forum Sialkot), Muhammad Jamil Sethi (President Thinkers’ Forum Daska), Abid Hussain Mehdi (Senior Vice Chairman Sialkot Press Club) and Khawaja Zafari Billa Kashmiri (President Shehari Huqooq Committee Daska) have expressed grave concern over this nasty situation. They have urged the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Commissioner Gujranwala Division Abdul Jabbar Shaheen and Sialkot DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal to look into the matter in the larger public interest.
