Probe launched against sellers of stale flour

SIALKOT - District Coordination Officer Zahid Saleem Gondal ordered a probe against the traders who are selling substandard flour in the Ramazan bazaars.
The DCO appointed District Food Controller Umair Sagheer as an inquiry officer, in this regard. The pieces of some old, stale and dried breads were found from a flour bag which was purchased by a local citizen from this bazaar on Tuesday before the arrival of Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa, the senior advisor to Punjab CM, to the venue.
Over a suspicion of something not like flour packed in flour bag, the citizen had opened the bag in the presence of DCO, DFC and journalists there and small and big pieces of stale and dried breads were found from the said bag. DFC Umair Sagheer told the newsmen that the bag of flour was supplied there by local flour mills namely Qadir Flour Mills Sialkot. He said that a strict probe has been started against the flour mills owner. He said that stern legal action would be taken against all those found responsible, in this regard. He said that the sample of the flour has been sent to the laboratory for chemical test.
