Punjab BISEs announce matric results

MULTAN/FAISALABAD/GUJRANWALA/SARGODHA/BAHAWALPUR - The boards of intermediate and secondary education across Punjab has declared the results of annual secondary school certificate examination 2012.
Breaking the long-prevailing hegemony of girls on position table, boys triumphed with two top overall positions in secondary school certificate annual examination 2012 as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Multan declared the result here on Wednesday.
Ahmad Masood (Roll No. 126398) clinched overall first position with 1024 marks. He also stood first in entire province. Similarly, Shoaib Haroon (Roll No. 122612) of a private school of Vehari and Muhammad Amjad Nazeer (Roll No. 120226) of Government High School Mailsi shared second position with 1019 marks. The third position was grabbed by Marrium (Roll No. 104219) of a local private school.
The result was declared by Controller of Examinations Prof. Akbar Ali, who told the participants of the ceremony that a total of 108979 candidates took the examination out of which 73514 got through. Thus the overall success ratio in this examination stood at 67.46 per cent.
As many as 68438 candidates took examination as regular ones and 56986 passed with 83.26 per cent pass percentage. Similarly, 16528 private candidates were declared successful out of a total of 40541, showing 40.76 per cent success ratio.
A total of 61136 male candidates appeared in the examination and 39405 got through while 47843 female candidates took the examination and 34109 were declared successful.
The result ceremony was chaired by provincial minister Haji Ehsanuddin Qureshi while Chairman board Rasheed Ahmad Chaudhry were also present on this occasion.
According to the result notification, the holders of first and second overall positions also held the first two positions in this category while Jawad Akhtar (Roll No. 130572) of a private school stood third with 1016 marks.
The overall Third position holder Marium stood first in this group while Iqra Zafar (Roll No. 103765) clinched away second position with 1016 marks and Farah Rafique (Roll No. 106636) stood third with 1014 marks.
Muhammad Naem (Roll No. 234375) of Government High School Hota Pakpattan was declared first with 965 marks in this group while a private student Yousaf Khalid (Roll No. 227952) stood second with 948 marks and another private candidate Abrar ul Haseeb (Roll No. 237928) third with 940 marks.
Aneesa Nazar (Roll No. 202165), student of a private school, got first position with 969 marks while Mubashara Mujeeb (Roll No. 212535) of Government Girls High School Harappa stood second with 948 marks and Kousar Batool (Roll No. 202554) clinched third place with 946 marks.
The BISE Multan registered a total of 45 UMCs during the examination out of which 43 were decided and 38 accused were punished. Similarly, as many as five cases were let off while two cases were still under trial. Later on, the minister distributed prizes among the position holders.
The BISE Faisalabad announced that 122,385 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 78,851 had passed. Therefore the passing percentage was declared 64.43 percent.
Rida Aisha Rafique scored 1018 marks and took first position in the board. Muhammad Osama Ali and Muhammad Omer bagged 1015 marks and took second position in the board. Amna Anwar d and Mathara Hassan bagged 1012 marks and stood third in the board.

In Science Group boys, Muhammad Osama Ali and Muhammad Omer bagged 1015 marks and took first position while Muhammad Amir Naveed with 1010 marks took second position and Tayyab Hassan with 1005 marks took third position in the group.
In General Group of girls, Arooj Sajjad got 964 marks and took first, Um’ Sidra with 949 marks took second and Nawal Rehman Yousaf with 945 marks took third position in the board. In General Group of boys, Hafiz Tariq Aziz obtained 938 marks for first position, Muhammad Usman got 931 marks for second position while Suleman Mansoor took 920 marks for third position in the group.
The BISE Gujranwala announced that 69.08 percent of total 155,793 candidates managed to succeed while public sector school could bag only 2 top slots out of 15 positions.
Girls captured top two positions in overall position holders and all three toppers belong to private schools. Hadiqua Ijaz of Federal Science College Wapda Town and Tahreem Raza of QDPS stood first and second by securing 1016 and 1015 marks while Muhammad Ammar of Allama Iqbal Public High School secured overall third position by taking 1013 marks. Provincial Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shuja Rehman distributed medals and certificate at the BISE Campus Hall where a large number of students, educationists and dignitaries were present.
Earlier, Controller Examination Ghulam Muhammad Jhaggar announced the results. According to details, in Science Group Boys, Muhammad Ammar of Allama Iqbal Public High School Sialkot topped the group by securing 1013 marks. He was followed by Muhammad Aaqib Sajjad Roll of Asaas Boys high School Gujranwala Cantt and Muhammad Affan Rasheed of The Educators Shakar Garh obtaining 1010 and 1009 marks respectively.
In Science Group Girls, Hadiqua Ijaz stood first by taking 1016 marks while Tahreem Raza followed her by taking 1015 marks. Third position was jointly captured by Numra Bilal Butt of QDPS and Rabia Ihsan of Dar-e-Arqam Gujrat who each secured 1011 marks.
In Humanities Group Boys, Private candidate Husnain Qaisar stood first by taking 954 marks. Hafiz Muhammad Azeem of Govt. Mahboob Alam Islamia High School Gujranwala remained second by taking 940 marks and private candidate Muhammad Usman remained third by taking 921 marks.
In Humanities Group Girls, Areeba Mukhtar of Govt. girls High School Kunjah Gujrat topped the group by taking 976 marks. Second position was jointly held by two candidates Maryam Saba and Shumaila Rafique who secured 970 marks while third position was also held by two candidates Saima Rani and Sitara who took 967 marks.
Most of the toppers intended to become doctor, engineer, professor and lawyer and termed Imran Khan and Shahbaz Sharif saviour of the nation. Muhammad Usman, who captured 3rd position in Arts Group, is a self-made teenager who has a part time job of hosiery worker after schooling to meet expenses of his education.
The Bise Sargodha has also declared the results of SSC examination. According to the Controller of Examination, BISE, 63,090 male and female candidates had appeared in the examination. Out of them, 41,559 have succeeded while 21,531 failed so the result remained 65.87 percent. Amara Nadeem Roll No 138702 achieved 1013 marks and stood first in the examination. Muatar Qalab, Roll No 131917, got second position with 1009 marks. Zain Ahmed, Roll No 160996, and Aimen Ayoub, Roll No 137641, both obtain 3rd position with 1007 marks each.
In Science Group, male students Zain Ahmed got 1007 marks for first position. Rao Muhammad Talaha 1005 for second position. Zahid Usman and Manqad Tanveer got third position with 1002 marks each. In Science Group, female students Amara Nadeem got 1013, Muatar Qalab 1009 and Aimen Ayoub 1007 marks. General group male students Muhammad Zaka Allah obtained 948 and grabbed first position. Khushal Khan with 936 marks secured second position while Sajid Iqbal got 925 for third position.
General group female students Nagina Nargus got 951 marks for first position, Hifza Javeed Akhtar 949 for second position and Samia Fatima got 946 marks for third position.
For prize distribution, Provincial Minister Malik Ahmed Ali Olakh was the chief guest at the ceremony. The main feature of the results is that most of the position holder students were related to the private academic institutions.
The BISE Bahawalpur announced the result of the SSC annual examination 2012, showing that 62.83% candidates have passed out of 58,876 candidates appeared in the examination. Thus, 36,991 candidates have been declared pass.
Maria Zaib, Roll No 224098, of Alpina Girls High School, Hasilpur and Amna Shahid, Roll No 224115 of Muslim Public Girls High School, Hasilpur jointly topped the board by securing 1017 marks each while the second position was also shared jointly by Ujala Khalid, of the Govt Girls City High School, Bahawalnagar and Muhammad Ahmed Latif of Alpine Boys Secondary School of Sciences, Khanpur as both the candidates got 1015 marks each.
Marryam Hanif of Ummul Qura Girls Public School got 3rd position in the Board and obtained 1013 marks. In the Science Group, Maria Zaib and Amna Shahid jointly topped among the girls as well as in the Board with 1017 marks each while Muhammad Ahmed Latif among the boys with 1015 marks.
In General Group, Sumera Maqbool of Tameer-e-Nau Model High School topped the girls with 929 marks while Abdul Aziz of Govt.Pilot Secondary School, Rahim Yar Khan got 1st position in the boys and obtained 875 marks.
Provincial Minister of Prisons Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar was the chief guest on the occasion who awarded medals and prizes to the position holders and congratulated them, their parents and teachers over their brilliant success.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was committed to provide all possible and best available facilities of education to all children of the provinces and had taken a number of steps to improve the literacy rate side by side quality of education to develop more interest among students.
