LAHORE – Parts of the country, including the City, received rainfall of varying intensities on Wednesday, providing some relief to the people from the prevailing harsh weather conditions.
Rains, overcast conditions and continuously blowing winds caused considerable decrease in the mercury level, providing much-needed respite to the Lahorites from the muggy weather persisting for the past two to three days.
On Wednesday, maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded at 37 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius, respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 72 per cent.

Not only youth, but also elderly people were seen beating the heat by taking a dip in the mud-coloured Canal water.
According to the experts, a seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and its trough is extending southeastwards. Monsoon currents are penetrating into upper parts of the country.
